For me, labels aren’t important. I’m more interested in the ways paint and techniques can be applied to develop suggestive and beguiling compositions. Perhaps having you picking up on my story, or creating your own. Paintings for the heart and soul.
I started painting in the late teens, but after some time stopped and focused more on pursuing a career as a Creative in Advertising. After working in the Advertising business for several years, I found that painting actually was a particularly good way of letting off steam, and allowing me to be creative in a totally different way, without thinking of the Advertising worlds do's or don'ts. So, I have been painting again since 2008. Well, not in the same style as back in the 80's, but instead finding a new way and direction, this time exploring the world of abstract painting, truly enjoying it immensely. Trying to create suggestive and beguiling compositions.
